Okay, I'm back in Corvallis after five weeks in Los Angeles, and I've got one week to use before I get my defibrillator installed and have to spend an unknown amount of time physically recovering from the experience. (If no complications, could be as little as three days, but this surgery apparently has a much higher rate of complications than many.)
