It worked!

I was the last one on the plane, but the door *was* still open when I got there. Now in LA, helping the folks set up for the feast.

Ironically, the airline's website had the arrival time wrong by an hour, so I spent an hour sitting around in Long Beach waiting for my Dad to come get me.
